Reopening McNasby's as Museum

The Chesapeake 20 Class is now closely aligned with the Annapolis Maritime Museum (AMM) in Annapolis including their sponsorship in holding our annual Nationals and a location for your archives.  Attached is a photo of Ted Weihe, President of the Chesapeake 20 Association and Heather Erst who has been our champion at AMM and sponsored our grant with the Four Rivers Hertiage Area for helping preserve the historic and locally-designed Chesapeake 20 sailboat.

Robert and Helen Orme - C-20 Pioneers

Bobby and Helen Orme were early Chesapeake 20 pioneers.  They raced extensively in Chesapeake 20s prior to World War II on the Potomac River.  Bobby Orme owned Blue Water Marina in Rhode River and named all four of his 20s, Blue Water.

Obituary of William Heintz

The Capital on-line obituary of William (Billy) Heintz at 99 on October 30, 2007.  He founded the West River Sailing Club and raced Chesapeake 20s including winning the first Chesapeake 20 High Point trophy in 1942.
