The Rock Hall Yacht Club is located at the confluence of Langford Creek and the Chester River, on the Chesapeake Bay’s picturesque Eastern Shore. This year the RHYC will host the 2010 Summer One Design Regatta on Saturday and Sunday June 12th and 13th, following the 73rd Annual Down River Race on June 11. The Summer O/D Regatta is the cornerstone of the summer for the RHYC and as such we like to have a big party; the more racers and families/friends the better, all are welcome. This stretch of the beautiful Chester River is a great place to sail One Design since there is a lot of open water, limited power boat traffic, easy beach launching and plenty of grass on which to park and rig. The members of RHYC welcome you and appreciate your attendance at our regatta. Be safe and have fun. In addition to hosting all one design classes, The RHYC One Design Regatta will be the host for the following class’s Championships in 2010:
If there are fewer than five boats in a class, the RC may determine to combine their start with the start of similarly rated boats. To enable more starts and shorter pre-start waiting the RC will divide the fleet and run two or more courses.
