NOTICE OF RACE




 



1            RULES



1.1         The regatta will be governed by the rules as defined in The Racing Rules of Sailing.




 




 



2            ELIGIBILITY AND ENTRY



2.1         The regatta is open to all boats of the C20, N20, ACat, Albacore and Flying Scot[ISAF2] classes.  Fleet participation varies by dates.  Other sanctioned fleets may participate if they have three boats at starting line. 




 




 




 




 




 




 



 




 



3            FEES – No fees apply to his event.

4.3         Start time:  Informal meeting will be held at 12:15 PM and races will start at 1:00 PM[ISAF5] .




 



4.4         Number of races:[ISAF6]   Short courses.  As many as possible will be sailed



             



5            VENUE



Start will take place in

West
River
cove (but location may vary depending on wind). 




 



6            THE COURSES:



There will be windward leeward courses.  At its discretion, race committee may set off set weather mark, two weather marks (one for catamarans and other for monihulls), and finish and starting lines may be the same.  Instructions will be provided prior to starts.  Rolling starts and different laps for classes will be displayed by committee boat. 




 




 



7            PENALTY SYSTEM:



[ISAF7] The regatta will be governed by the current rules as defined in The Racing Rules of Sailing.




 



8            SCORING:



The scoring system is as follows:  Low Point Scoring System found in Appendix A of The Racing Rules of Sailing.




 




 



9            SUPPORT BOATS



              Support boats shall be marked with the letters WRSC.




 



10          [ISAF8] RADIO COMMUNICATION



A boat shall neither make radio transmissions while racing nor receive radio communications not available to all boats. This restriction also applies to mobile telephones.




 



11          DISCLAIMER OF LIABILITY



Competitors participate in the regatta entirely at their own risk. See rule 4, Decision to Race. The organizing authority will not accept any liability for material damage or personal injury or death sustained in conjunction with or prior to, during, or after the regatta.




 












 [ISAF1]On separate lines, insert the full name of the regatta, the inclusive dates from measurement or the practice race until the final race or closing ceremony, the name of the organizing authority, and the city and country.

 [ISAF4] [ISAF4]Revise as desired and insert the dates and classes. Include a practice race if any. When the series consists of qualifying races and final races, specify them. The schedule can also be given in an attachment.

 [ISAF7]Include paragraph 12.1 only when the Two-Turns Penalty will not be used. Insert the number of places.







 [ISAF8] [ISAF8]Insert any alternative text that applies. Describe the radio communication bands or frequencies that will be used or allowed.
