Malcolm Lamborne reports that: “At nearby Galesville many Washington area
skippers will compete in a three-race series extending over Sunday. Sailors from Washington are expected to
figure in both the penguin and comet classes. The West River skippers have a way of
dominating the Chesapeake 20s class.
However, Bobbie Orme, in his Bluewater, has been giving the Galesville
boys a hard time of it this summer.”

Robert Orme of Corinthian Yacht Club
has won the Old Dominion Boat Club trophy for Chesapeake 20s. His Blue Water was the first 20 across the
finish line in yesterday’s weekly races of the Potomac River Sailing
Association fall series. A big fleet
raced in a smart breeze off Hains Points.
At the Miles River Club Regatta, Robert
Orme of Washington scored in the Chesapeake 20s sailing division in Blue
Water. He got a second and third today
and ended on top by virtue of a first yesterday.
